DETAILS/RULES

DRAFT DAY- 27 September 1pm Eastern

I've been hosting a pool on yahoo every year since the lockout. Pretty much the same people every year. The success rate all depends solely on the group of managers that I choose.

However my judgement only goes so far. Every year there are always 2-3 managers who complete the draft, and then decide not to contribute to the remainder of the season. This is completely unacceptable. When managers decide not to be active in the pool then those players drafted would be wasted. I know I’d be upset if my favourite players ended up on a wasted team.

Even if it does happen, I always get the same messages year after year from the managers, “hey Shane, why not put the defunct players back in the waiver pool, and let the managers pick up whom ever them want”? Here’s why, Sidney Crosby is drafted first overall. The manager decides to quit, and now a number one pick is wasted, how on earth could I allow him to go the number 20th seeded manager? I don’t, and now a player is wasted.

Notes:

1. Fee- 25.00 or more Current Listed Star Memorabilia card or Star Rookie card
2. Please send 2.00 with your card for postage of prizes.
3. There are 8 prizes positions this season. Also, I have added a custom McFarlane to the first place winner. There are some exceptions to that. Must be a forward or defensemen. Goalies cost too much to make.
4. No Paypal this season. If a member doesn’t get his fee to me by draft day then 27.00 in paypal must be sent to me to save his spot in the pool, but a card will still have to be sent in.
5. Trades are through the commissioner. Any trade I deem unfair will be listed in the trash talk section. If majority say that my ruling is unfair then the trade will be allowed. Any trade that I offer will be listed in the trash talk section, if majority feel the offer is one sided then my trade will not be allowed.
6. The draft is through yahoo. The draft order will not be determined until 30 minutes prior to the draft time.
7. The draft is the rotating series. Round one is 1-20, and round two is 20-1…
8. There will only be 10 Free Agent and Trades pickups this season, so use them wisely. I had 20 last year, and that was too many.
9. Trash Talk is a must, and I will most likely set the standard for that.
10. The Draft is set for 27 September at 1pm Eastern
